Tbh I would only have about 10 rn if misplant didn’t send me 50 seeds lol.. I bought a 10 pack and the dude hooked it up so I had to sow all of them. I guess I’m gonna inadvertently be a full fledged cactus farmer like you one day haha

I just got done planning my down size outside and this is the first thing I see when I sit down. That hurt a little 😂

It starts with a few, then you propagate. And once you really dial in the growing regime and nutrients they take off. And so you up-pot and they keep getting bigger. The space needed to age ratio starts to get a little crazy. Pretty soon every possible space for a pot is taken up.
Then the question becomes a philosophical conundrum. In order to maximize growth I need to move them to different bigger pots. – Bigger pots take more space. – I don’t have more space. – So do I downsize the amount to make space for the ones I want to grow big? – Or do I grow out what I have while never hitting the maximum optimal growing conditions, forever stunted by lack of space? – How do I choose which ones to keep? – If I want to propagate my favorites do I need to get rid of another? – Am I going to have to show restraint with grafting and rooting new cuttings? – What if I want to keep them all?
What do I do????
Time to move and get more space…
